WEDDING ALBUM
I was commissioned to make this very
special album by Josie Clyde (producer and director for Chunkyknit Productions,
a snowboarding film & production unit) who took all the photographs. This was
her personal wedding present for her friends, Mike & Susie. Josie very kindly gave me permission to load up some pages for
you to admire. I had an absolutely wonderful time building the album for her
(right from cutting the boards through to doing all the artwork and binding the
book). This was a real labour of love!

The wedding was held in the Turks & Caicos
Islands - so romantic!
The album was A3 size
(and about 8 inches deep) with a deep gold handmade paper for the outer cover,
and a similar handmade paper in ice blue with glitter accents for the inner
cover. Japanese Stab-stitch binding with two colours of organza ribbon on the
spine, three colours of ribbon for the ties (echoing the inner and outer covers)
and a little box on the front, containing three tiny glass bottles representing
part of the Wedding Ceremony, which incorporated some Island traditions.
I'm not the world's best photographer, so there's a bit of camera
shake, and a persistent little plastic bag seems to have gotten itself into a
lot of the shots (it was looking after the diamante stones for me, so I guess it
felt a part of things!) I photographed most of the album before I bound the
cover on, as the album was absolutely huge by the time I finished. These are
only a few of the photographs! On the left-hand pages, I made envelopes which
contained the Best Man's speech, goodwill messages etc.
